For Jeremy Willment, music is more than a passion. It is a way to connect with people, preserve the stories held within instruments, and bring the joy of music to others.
As the owner of The String Doctor Instrument Repair services in Cold Lake, Jeremy brings together his talents as a musician, teacher, luthier, and craftsman. Self-taught on more than 16 instruments, he shares his knowledge through music lessons. He also repairs, restores, and builds instruments by hand.
After losing his sight in 2023, Jeremy adapted the way he approaches his craft, relying on years of experience, his hands, and an extraordinary sense of touch to continue creating and repairing instruments.
Whether restoring a treasured instrument, helping a student discover the joy of music, or crafting something entirely new, Jeremy brings patience, creativity, and genuine passion to everything he does.
