Congratulations to Bronwyn Wareham, who was selected as the recipient of the Assumption School Parent Advisory Council Bursary in the amount of $500.
Bronwyn will be mailed a cheque directly from the Parent Advisory Council once she submits her receipt to them for tuition paid at Grant MacEwan University this fall.

Congratulations to Joana Cruz on achieving the highest academic average in Grade 12 at Assumption School. Joana has been named the Class of 2020 Valedictorian and will also be awarded the Governor General’s Academic Medal.
Lord Dufferin, Canada’s third Governor General after Confederation, created the Academic Medals in 1873 to encourage academic excellence across the nation. Over the years, they have become the most prestigious award that students in Canadian schools can receive.
For more than 125 years, the Governor General’s Academic Medals have recognized the outstanding scholastic achievements of students in Canada. They are awarded to the student graduating with the highest average from a high school.
Great job, Joana! We are so proud of your accomplishment!

2020 Graduates and Families:
You will be gifted 2 tree seedlings made possible through a donation from Cenovus. It has been a challenging year for you and your parents. It is our hope that you will plant these tree seedlings as a symbol of the resiliency and perseverance you have demonstrated during the pandemic. We hope that these trees will mean something special to you in the years to come.
These seedlings will be available for pick up at Assumption School. Please come by and pick up your seedling as part of this celebration of Graduation.

Congratulations to Bronwyn Wareham on being selected as the recipient of the 2020 Lakeland Catholic Community Partner Scholarship. This $500 scholarship is awarded to a grade 12 student who has explored a variety of different career pathways and taken advantage of Experiential Learning opportunities. A cheque will arrive in the mail from Lakeland Catholic School Division.
The scholarship will be awarded in the name of the organization receiving the Lakeland Catholic School District Outstanding Community Partner Award, which for 2020 is the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services - PSP Community Recreation.
