Kamp Kiwanis Calgary is relocating to a new site 15 minutes NW of Cremona, Alberta, Canada, approximately an hour drive from NW Calgary.

Project Kampfire, formerly known as Kamp Kiwanis offers Summer Camps for underprivileged children, Leadership Programs, and Spring & Fall Outdoor School Programs, all in the Kananaskis Area just west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We offer:

- An overnight summer camp program for students entering Grades 5-7 and leadership programs for students entering Grades 8-12 in Calgary and Area
- An overnight and day trip outdoor school program in Fall and Spring for Calgary and Area schools. These programs will take place at alternate sites for the 2022-2023 school year while we build new facilities.
- Future rental facilities for community groups.
- Programs reaching underprivileged or disadvantaged children and their families.

Today we honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We will not forget the atrocities and multi-generational trauma caused by the Canadian Residential School system. We honour and learn from the stories of the survivors, their families and communities and we remember the thousands of children who never returned home.

Due to the Orange Warning for Air Quality issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada we are modifying our activities at Kamp Kiwanis as needed.

This may include:
- limiting our outdoor activities, especially those involving more physical activity
- cancelling/rescheduling off-site day hikes in Kananaskis
- not sleeping outdoors for our on-site overnight trips

We will still try to include some outdoor activities, but will continue to monitor conditions and move indoors as needed. Conditions are expected to improve throughout the weekend.

The safety and wellness of our participants and staff is our top priority and thank families for their understanding as we work to keep Kamp safe and fun!
