There is nothing more frustrating than feeling helpless when it comes to your horse’s hoof care.

Nicole joined our program wanting the knowledge and confidence to properly care for her own horse.

Here is what she shared:

“I have had problems with farriers my entire horse life — hooves not trimmed correctly, horses being harmed, good farriers moving away or changing schedules.

I was frustrated not having the knowledge to properly care for my own horses.

Bill is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He tells you honestly if you’re doing something right or wrong, and he explains things in multiple ways so everyone understands. With the small class size, you get individual time and support if you’re struggling.

By the end of the week, we had the confidence and knowledge to trim our horses’ hooves properly.

I had been told my gelding was flat-footed and would never have heels. Bill said, ‘With proper trims, he will have heels.’

Within one trim, my gelding had heels.

I now feel confident and capable of taking control of my horse’s hoof care.”
