Tic Tac Tots Dayhome

Summer is already half over, and we are so close to be completing our summer bucket list!
We been busy with crafts, outdoor play when we can, Calaway park, eating cotton candy, dramatic play centres inside, listening to our Yoto player , Library adventures. And lastly enjoying a new bubble machine while being in our outdoor play space!
Like they say, time goes by fast when you are having fun. 🤩

Another full week here! We had our first adventure out going to an elderly care home, connecting and participating in activities with the seniors in the community.
Spent a lot of time outside with walks, parks, sprinkler, wading pools, sprinklers, taking care of gardens, bouncy castle, picnics, going for ice cream 🍦 and as well as indoor activities like colouring, scribble scrubbies, bowling, library, and reading. Ending our busy week with watching a movie on the projector.

Summer has been so busy , I completely forgot about this amazing Milestone!

What an amazing start to summer adventures! We have already started checking things off our bucket list!
-explore many different parks
-picnics and pancakes breakfasts
-mini golf
-slurpee’s
-water fight and water play
-being creative with new toys to create a tube to transfer water and pitchers to create ‘drinks’ in the restaurant
-helping with our garden, enjoyed some strawberries that were ready
-hanging out with our other dayhome friends in the community
-and some more library programs!
Can’t wait to enjoy next weeks adventures.

I’m excited to share that I have officially completed my Level 3 ECE Diploma with a 4.0 GPA!

The past two years have been challenging as I balanced being a full-time dayhome educator, a mom, a wife, and a friend while pursuing my education. There were many long days and late nights, but with the support of my family, friends, and those around me, I stayed committed to my goal.

I am incredibly grateful for the encouragement I received throughout this journey and proud of what I have accomplished. Completing this diploma is a milestone I will always cherish, and I’m excited for what the future holds.

Our summer week started out with donuts, 🍩 puddle jumping, library, and crafts 🍁

The best thing for a child is to be able to have the freedom to explore, take risk, learn how the environment around them feels, know what makes them feel safe, interacting with friends and being creative.
-sensory stimulation with mud, bubbles, water, and chickpea foam
- fine motor with playdough and tooth picks, magnetic blocks
-gross motor with walks,running, jumping, riding bikes,
using cautions on parks, helping pump air into our balls
-social skills interaction with friends throughout the day
-cognitive development with different materials being used throughout activities in our program

We are preparing for a busy fun filled summer with many exciting activities planned!
