About Me:
I grew up in Cambridge, Ontario, and at 16, moved to Calgary to attend the National Sports School in pursuit of my dream to represent Canada in Short Track Speed Skating. As an elite athlete, I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Calgary. After retiring from competitive skating in 2012, I pursued my Bachelor of Education at Concordia University of Edmonton. I began my teaching career in Cold Lake, Alberta, teaching Grade 1. In 2016, my family relocated back to Calgary, where I embarked on an incredible journey teaching Grade 6 at Calgary Academy. In 2021, I made the decision to step away from the classroom to focus on my family, embracing the joys of motherhood and watching my son grow in his early years. Despite leaving the classroom, my passion for education remains strong. Through Inspiring Minds Tutoring, I aim to share my knowledge and inspire young learners by offering one-on-one tutoring sessions. My goal is to spark a love for lifelong learning, helping students reach their full academic potential.
