Today, our Grade 4s led our final Grandfather Teaching assembly about Truth. They did an amazing job!

Today is “Dress like a career day” and we have some wonderful examples to share!

Fun events like this are age-appropriate ways for our young students to begin to learn about career pathways, which is one of the goals in our School Education Plan.

Leadership Announcements

After 7 ½ years as Principal of École Elizabeth Barrett Elementary School, and 12 years on the Cochrane tri-school site, Mr. Gerry Gaudet is moving on to a new role beginning next fall as Principal of Bearspaw School.

Coming to Elizabeth Barrett as our new Principal is Mme Jocelyn Littlefair. Mme Littlefair was previously Principal at École A.E. Bowers Elementary School in Airdrie, and is currently at Northcott Prairie School in Airdrie. We are excited to welcome Mme Littlefair to the EB school community!

Our Grade 3 students had a wonderful concert performance this evening! Great job, Grade 3s!

To all of the moms, step-moms, foster moms, grandmothers and all of the other important ladies in our students’ lives, we wish you a Happy Mother’s Day!

As we recognize Earth Day, our students are engaged in taking care of our planet by helping to clean up our school grounds. Way to go EB students !

It’s St. Patrick’s Day and we have a lot of students and staff wearing green and gold!

Thank you EB families for the wonderful meal and snacks you’ve provided for our teachers for student-led conferences! It is very much appreciated!

Read-a-thon!

Thank you EB families and students for your participation in our annual Read-a-thon! Today, we drew winners for our prizes and celebrated all of the reading we’ve done.

Here are a few pictures of our winners. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to take pictures of our grade 2 winners as they were busy practicing for their concert tomorrow evening.

Special thanks to some local sponsors and prize donors including the Cochrane Movie House, McKay’s Ice Cream, and Great Things in Store, Messy Moose, Cochrane Lanes, and SLS. Thank you for supporting our school.

Also a huge thank you our EBSFA committee for all their work to make this happen, and especially to Chantelle Richard for organizing and delivering prizes.
