Want some encouragement to start off your week?!
One of the most common things I hear is “HOW do I surrender? WHAT does that actually look like?”
That question is just one of many that tackles in the latest episode of the Strong and Free Leaders Podcast.
Jessie is gifted to help us all uncover our purpose, and she shared graciously and authentically about what that has looked like in her own life. She is a natural encourager and a beautiful voice of wisdom - this conversation will be a blessing to you!
is also a Life Coach and you can DM her personally if you’d like to know more!

Last week, two of my coaching clients needed to set aside the big picture strategy and next steps we had been working on.
Instead, they sat in tears and told me about their no-good-horrible-awful day/week.
We practiced finding a truer perspective in the midst of the lies, asking for God’s help, and preparing some practical tools for what they would face in the next day.
I know sometimes we get the Sunday scaries, where dread circles in about the week ahead … but I hope this can serve as a reminder to you to reach out for help if you need it, and that the level of fear you feel doesn’t always accurately reflect the reality you’re facing.
God is with you, invite him to help.

Marie-Josée is exactly the kind of person you want teaching you about the Bible. Curious, humble, and passionate about the word of God.
She’s also a wonderful friend, and a woman faithful to the calling God has placed in front of her despite having an arm full of reasons to pass on it.
You are invited to listen in as we talk about the unique church in Quebec, the ways of finding hope in dark places, and nerding out on how Jesus taught the New Testament authors.

Have you listened to the latest episode of the Strong and Free Leaders podcast yet?
A friend messaged me today to say that it’s the best episode yet. She listened to it twice.
Let me tell you why this episode is awesome: it’s .
She really believes in people.
To Brittany, people are not problems to be solved, they are hearts and minds to be served.
Brittany could be doing just about anything she wanted to in her post-military career, and she is obediently answering the call to share her experience and gifts to bring out the best in us.
That’s why this episode is so special.
You can hear her story about coming under fire in Iraq, Ephesians six, and leading teams on the latest episode of the Strong and Free Leaders Podcast.
Special shout out to for cheering us on.

When I started this advent series about encouragement on the podcast it was a step of obedience.
One of those steps that you’re 60% sure is obedience and 40% wondering if you heard right.
Thank you to those of you who have listened and reached out to share your own encouragement about how you’ve enjoyed the series.
I’m excited to share more interviews with you in 2024, and who knows what else God has in store :)

With great pleasure I got to include ‘The Muppet’s Christmas Carol’ when talking about encouraging joy!
Scrooge no doubt is a great example of someone who needs a little joy in his life.
This whole advent series has been about encouraging hope, peace, joy and love in our people. I hope you’ll listen in, and maybe even find a little hope, peace, joy, or (next week) love encouraged in you too.

Heading into advent this year, I felt an invitation to really lean into the gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love.
Sometimes advent is a series of dates on the calendar, but this time I’m sensing a call to rest in it.
This led to an advent series on the podcast - all about how to encourage hope, peace, joy, and love in our people.
My prayer is that it will be reminder to you of the power and significance of God at work in and through you, and that we’ll all be effective encouragers this Christmas season :)

When a unhelpful mindset, fear, or self-awareness comes to light, most of us want to fix it.
We want to do better.
We don’t want to face the emotions that got us there in the first place.
This is where we get to make a choice, we can solve all the external things and wait for those emotions to mess with us again in another way … or …
We can decide to really deal with them, surrendering to God, embracing his truth, and trusting him to lead us forward.
God’s heart for us is always that we would be transformed in Christ - that means you can change!
This process doesn’t happen alone.
God is with you in it.
A coach can guide you in it.
You community will lift you through it.

Then Elijah said to his servant, “Go out and look toward the sea.”
The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.”
Seven times Elijah told him to go and look.
Finally.
The seventh time.
His servant told him, “I saw a LITTLE cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.”
“RUN.”
I don’t know who is ‘looking’ for the sixth time, becoming increasing convinced that they heard wrong - there is no rain coming.
I don’t know who is bearing the weight of others not understanding why you’re getting ready to look yet another time.
But if it’s you, my prayer is that you (and I) will continue to find our hope in Christ. We’ll wait when he leads to wait and run when he leads us to run.
Let his voice guide you this week, before anything or anyone else.
