Cochrane Valley Montessori School offers students a variety of hands on Math lessons! The use of manipulatives provides students a way to learn Math concepts through developmentally appropriate hands on materials.
Students are able to show their Mathematical understanding by first visualizing and then demonstrating their knowledge. Learning Math while using the Montessori materials gives students the opportunity to practice and memorize different Mathematical concepts.

We have started our Space unit! Students at CVMS have been learning about the different planets, constellations, the different phases of the moon and celestial objects.
We have been watching the International Space Station live feed and next week we will be having a virtual field trip put on by NASA.
