Imaginate Green Wood Coalition's popular IMAGINATE event invites you to dream with us about creating a community of caring and a culture of shared wellbeing.

Green Wood Coalition presents IMAGINATE, an evening of possibility, a delicious and moveable feast for the senses to entertain, inspire and motivate action toward building a community of belonging. Connect with thought leaders , storytellers, musicians, social innovators, and like-minded neighbours to be inspired to action that will create positive change in our community and beyond. We've grown to a two-day event, starting with 'IMAGINATE at Night' (Thursday, April 20, 2023), followed by 'IMAGINATE One Day Conference' (Friday, April 21, 2023).

​Green Wood Coalition uses a radically inclusive, community model of caring to walk alongside people living with poverty, mental or physical illness, drug dependency, or disability in Northumberland County. By focusing on what's strong, not what's wrong, we work for

'Nicole', a beautiful new film by renowned photographer and filmmaker, Johan Hallberg Campbell will premier at IMAGINATE, on May 9. Follow the healing journey of a community advocate as she confronts the darkest times in her life--the same mean streets that she left 15 years behind her. A poignant, heartfelt story that will inspire viewers and leave them with a sense of lingering hope.

We're following the Juno Awards this weekend because we've got some friends in the game. Several past Imaginate performers are nominated for awards at this celebration of great Canadian music happening in Halifax.

Allison Russell is up for Songwriter of the Year, Contemporary Roots Album of the Year and her video for 'Demons' is up for Music Video of the Year. Okan's record, 'Okantomi' is nominated for Global Music Album of the Year, and Julian Taylor's 'Beyond the Reservoir' is in the running for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year.

IMAGINATE has been a highlight on our calendar for many years. A gathering of storytellers, an opportunity to learn new things and push boundaries, a stage filled with some of the most talented and heartfull performers and creatives of our time.

What a lineup of presenters/performers already confirmed for IMAGINATE 2023!
