🎻 Julia takes the Road to Cultivate stage this Thursday!
SONG is thrilled to feature an outstanding young artist, Julia, as part of this week’s Road to Cultivate summer series.
For her age, Julia is already surprisingly experienced at entertaining Northumberland audiences, having performed with SONG at several SoundStages — and every time, she reminds us why young artists deserve bigger stages.
Her confidence, musicality, and virtuosity on the violin are one more reason to come out, cheer loudly, and celebrate the next generation of local talent.

Young performers, this is your chance to take the stage.
Our next SONG SoundStage happens August 8, and thanks to the Municipality of Port Hope, we have a longer stage time for this special summer edition — which means artists can submit more than one song!
This is a great opportunity to:
Build a longer set
Try out new material
Practice performing multiple songs
Get ready for bigger opportunities like Growing Stages
Share your music with a supportive community audience
Whether you sing, play, write your own songs, perform covers, or are building toward your next stage, we want to hear from you.
🎶 Artists are encouraged to submit multiple songs and think about how they might shape a short set.

This year, one artist or group will be selected as the Growing Stages Featured Artist 2026 and will perform a 30-minute set at Cultivate Festival this September.🤩
The selected artist will also receive professional photo and video content from the Cultivate Festival media team, inclusion in SONG and Cultivate promotional materials, and support preparing for the festival-stage experience.
Applications are open to Northumberland youth artists ages 13–18 who are ready to perform a 30-minute family-friendly set and can share a short artist profile, promotional photo, and performance video.
Original music is encouraged, but not required.
