The St. Joseph Soaring Eagles Concert Band is a brand new musical endeavour that began in October of this school year. The students have been living and breathing definitions of dedication and enthusiasm. As far as we know, we are the only elementary school concert band in our school board and we hope to inspire other groups to surface in our wake!
On March 30th, the 46 member band ventured to the Peterborough Kiwanis Festival. In their first ever competitive festival, the Soaring Eagles received a mark of 85 and a SILVER award. This miraculous group has exceeded expectations at every turn. The majority of our group is currently in Grade 5, 6, 7 & 8 so we are very excited to see how the group grows and where they go!
