School starts Wednesday, September 2, and RCDSB is ready to welcome students and families back.

Starting Tuesday, August 18, our schools are open for new registrations and to help with back to school prep. Register online at rcdsb.on.ca or contact your local school.

A few ways to get ready over the next two weeks:

Shift bedtimes and wake-up times a little earlier each day. Talk with your child about what they’re looking forward to, and listen to any worries too. If you can, walk or drive the route to school together before September 2.

First day of classes: Wednesday, September 2.

We know you've heard about the Parent Portal, so what are you waiting for! 🚌

Since we won't be sending bus details home by email or hard copy again this year, logging into the portal is the only way to get your student's information!

We've made signing up for the parent portal even easier! When you create an account, your students will automatically be linked if your email address is on file with the school.

If you log in and don't see your student's information, please contact your school to update your email address. (RCJTC can't update this for you).

RCDSB Partners with Re-Nature to Build Outdoor Learning Spaces Across Renfrew County

Students at Renfrew County District schools will soon have a new kind of place to learn, explore, and breathe.

The RCDSB has partnered with Re-Nature to transform schoolyards across the district into outdoor learning spaces. Nineteen schools will take part in the first phase, receiving custom-designed school forests, curriculum resources and hands-on support for teachers.

This partnership is rooted in something simple: when students learn in nature, they thrive. Research links outdoor learning to lower anxiety, stronger engagement and a deeper sense of belonging.
