First up the life cycle and a little literacy / fine motor work 🎃

This week we’re doing a deep dive into the wonderful world of BUGS 🐛.

This little man is so proud of his work. What he doesn’t know is he working his kindergarten readiness skills. The fine motor skills it takes to do beading are the same muscles that are going to help him hold his pencil properly to write and draw. That making a pattern takes concentration, patience and is fundamental math!

The newest addition to our new outside space!

Our goal is that each child will grow to become confident learners and responsible, caring contributors to the world.

Doodle Bug Learning Center takes its influences from Montessori, Reggio, and Waldorf. You will see bits and pieces of all these philosophies in our classroom. We believe in a curriculum that is largely based on the children’s interests and planned to be developmentally appropriate for their age. We believe in bringing nature inside and creating a natural play space for children to learn and grow.

Responsibility:

· Creating an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum

· Set reasonable and consistent behaviour expectations that are aligned with the center’s philosophy and policies

· Provide positive guidelines such as redirecting, positive language, and positive reinforcement

· Ensure the child’s environment is healthy and safe

· Creating open and honest lines of communication with all parents

· Making sure your classroom is at all times in compliance with all licensing regulation

· An ability to be energetic, resilient and maintains a sense of humor when personal resources are challenged

· Effective interpersonal skills under all types of conditions, exhibiting a supportive, positive approach

· A high degree of personal initiative with good planning and organizational skills

Qualification:

· Must have a current and up to date Early Childhood Educator Licence to practice here in B.C

· Current and up to date Childcare First Aid

· Current, up to date and clean Criminal Record Check

· 3 Character references

· Copy of your immunization records

· Have a healthy understanding of the licensing regulation

· Excellent interpersonal skills with parents, community members

· Mature and responsible attitude towards work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
