Patrick School is excited to be celebrating our 100th anniversary this year and we want you to join us!!! Patrick School is located within the Town of Cobalt and serves the English Catholic population of South Timiskaming in the Latchford, Cobalt-Coleman, North Cobalt and Haileybury areas. The school was established in 1913 and the site of the school moved over the years, finally settling into its
present location in 1984. The school serves students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 8. Patrick School is a major focal point for the community and is home to Interlink which is an intergenerational, non-denominational program which matches seniors from the community with our Grade 7/8 students. In addition, the school facility is utilized by community groups in the after school hours. Further, the students in Grade 4 participate in a swimming program at the Pool and Fitness Center in New Liskeard. Physical Education classes for all grade levels are now being conducted in our new gymnasium complex. Our school is proud of its caring atmosphere, of its dedicated staff, and of its curriculum from J.K. We enjoy an excellent partnership with the School Council and everyone works hard towards the realization of a set of common goals. The staff incorporate a wide variety of teaching strategies to appeal to all intelligences. Small/ large group activities compliment individual learning styles. Classes are encouraged to use the community as a resource as well as work together as a team to deliver an effective program. There is a strong link with the Church and its community, working as partners in the Catholic faith. Our staff, parents and School Council are committed towards providing the best-possible Christian/ Catholic education for our students as they develop the knowledge and skills necessary for life and citizenship in the Twenty-First Century.
