We love playing with Picasso Tiles here at Chickadee Childcare.
These magnetic tiles help teach a variety of concepts including color recognition, fine motor skills (eye-hand coordination & pincer grasp) and problem solving skills, including experimentation while working through the challenge of building a stable structure.
Building with Picasso tiles also helps children to begin to understand the delicate nature of balance and the relationship between angles and shapes as they create different structures.
Picasso Tiles can also be used for playing with light and shadows.
There are so many fun ways to incorporate these into play.

Today I'd like to share a piece of furniture our dayhome acquired back in December. Introducing the Magnus Couch!! It's more than just a couch, as it has 14 individual MAGNETIC pieces that can be used to create and build all sorts of things.
Over the course of about 2 months since getting it, it is still used on a daily basis. The children have full creativity to change its shape and create different structures to expand their play.
This couch allows the children to meet their needs for tumble play, dizzy play and whole body coordination. Providing them an opportunity to expel energy with low-risk to themselves.
