Nightingale Piano Studio Private piano lessons for all ages in a positive, student-centered learning environment. My name is Heidi Vogel, and piano education is my passion.

My in-home studio offers lessons to all ages and I specialize in Royal Conservatory piano education. I have been teaching since 2008, and have completed my ARCT in theory education and intermediate pedagogy, as well as RCM's advanced piano teaching certification. I am a registered music teacher with my local ORMTA branch, and have successfully prepared students for exams and competitions at both t

he regional and provincial level. Whether you are 6 or 60, preparing for a career in music or learning for your own pleasure, music education is sure to enrich your life. Increased brain development, self discipline, self expression and critical thinking are just a few of the benefits of learning the piano! The ability to make music is a gift that you and those around you will enjoy for a lifetime. I would love to chat with you further and answer any questions you might have.

Thanks to my baby girl needing to come 3 weeks early, this was my view of our Spring Concert tonight.

I am SO PROUD of my students. Their lessons were cut short abruptly, yet almost all of them were still able to make it tonight and perform beautiful pieces of music that reflected their hard work and their love of music.

I loved hearing each musician's personality coming out through the pieces they shared, including four original compositions!

A huge thank you to Esther Vogel for taking up all the extra responsibilities and making tonight still happen for all our students.

My Opa.

He came to Canada for the summer with $40 in his pocket and a wealth of music in his memory.
He stayed for a lifetime, and 60+ years later he still brightens the room with his Dutch March tunes.

Growing up, he was always there to listen to my music. He encouraged, criticized and sang along. I always knew he was (and still is) my biggest fan.

When I moved here 8 years ago, Esther Vogel was my first Orono student. Now she is an accomplished teacher and colleague, and tonight we hosted our first combined student recital!

It was amazing to hear the beautiful music shared by our students. It was a perfect celebration of all the work they have done this year.
Congratulations to all our performers!

Music has been so many things to us this year.
I can't wait to share some of it this Friday at our Spring Concert.
Only 4 more days!
