Grade 4/5 had a fantastic day hanging out at Murray Point! It was a great day full of activities, a hot dog roast, and ice cream at Ferns!🍦🌲Special thanks to Sask Parks for the disc golf sets and volleyballs! 🥏🏐

What a day! Mosquitoes 🦟 played a major role in our Outdoor EdDay BUT a little mind over matter and a whole lot of fun/ activities allowed it to be a great day at Blue Heron Provincial park at Anglin Lake today for Grades 4-8. Activities included… traditional games, information on indigenous plants in the area, story telling… and the park interpreters lead an aquatic study, geo catching, and an informational workshop on furs/ pelts and a history lesson on the Anderson trapper’s cabin. Thanks to Skylar, John and Sydney and Mrs G for everyone’s help today!

Fore! A great afternoon was spent at Forest Fringe Fairways (Just north of the Christopher Lake turn off) …. This course is awesome… great for beginners and good practice on your short game… great for the whole family!

Grade 8’s got golf lessons and life lessons out on the course (from their teachers!) . 😂

We are very lucky as a community to have facilities like Forest Fringe Fairways, Emma Lake Golf Course, Three Amigo’s Mini Holf, frisbee golf course(Murray Point), a curling club, pickleball courts(Christopher Lake)… and the list goes on! Lots of fun things we can do in our community! Check them all out this summer!

The 3/4 class enjoyed their field trip to the Conservation Learning Centre to learn all about food production and taking care of our environment.

A little FAIRYTALE FUN!
These Laker Grade 1s got to practise their retelling, public speaking, listening, group work and creativity skills this week.
It was fun to watch them prepare & present a retelling of some classic fairytales.
