Thank you to the parents who referred families to us last month. The July spaces are now filled.

Due to some children leaving a little early, to start kindergarten; we have 2 spaces opening up on August or September 1st . These spaces are for children aged 30 months to 4 years of age, so perfect for a sibling group! Here is a little about us…

The Briar Patch Child Care Centre has been caring for the children in our community for the past 31 years. We are situated on almost a full acre, in a park like setting; with a central location in Sardis.

Some highlights of our centre are:

• Fully qualified, experienced, caring staff.
• Play based learning with added emphasis on kindergarten readiness; combining free play with guided activities.
• Large, natural, outdoor spaces with lots of room to run, climb, explore and engage in imaginative play.
• We back onto the Sardis Sports field and are within easy walking distance to Sardis Park
which allows us extra room to run and play.
• Small group size with extra staff, to allow for more child/staff interaction and guidance.
• Programming that focuses on all areas of a child's development: social, emotional, intellectual, small motor and large motor skills.
• Activities that encourage imagination, community mindedness and friendship.
• Low parent fees due to our involvement with the CCFRI funding program and Affordable Child Care Benefit program.

We will have two spaces available in our 3-5 program as of July 1st. These spaces will be full time, for children between 30 months and pre K.

We have baby ducks again this year!! While they didn't nest in the playground, they did nest in the front yard by the creek. Caught them taking their first swim today...so very cute! First year we have had solid black ducklings ❤️

Happy Earth Day everyone!

I want to thank everyone who voted for us! I am truly grateful for all the community support and so happy my staff are getting the recognition they deserve.

To me, a quality childcare centre is not shiny new buildings, special fancy equipment, workbooks or simply observing children at play. It is a centre comprised of caregivers who love what they do, truly enjoy working with children and encourage children to learn through play and exploration. These are caregivers who engage with the children, play with them; while guiding them in their learning and providing age appropriate programming. These are caregivers who are not only fully certified in early childhood education, but who recognize the importance of continuing to learn and grow themselves.

I am so very fortunate to have such a team working with me, and I am fully cognizant of the fact I would not have this honour without them.
