Tomorrow, Tuesday May 7th is our Forest Fun Day. For all our Sept. 2024 registered families please join us for a chance to meet a teachers and to have an opportunity to see our program in works.
9:00-11:30
Show up anytime between 9:00 or 10:00
Dress for the weather.
Giesbrecht Rd, turn right onto the gravel road just before the Vedder Campground. Park about 20 seconds down at the trailhead. Look for my Silver Nissan truck.

A few weeks of foraging. Stinging Nettle Tea and Maple Bloosom Fritters. Dandelion’s are next on the menu.
Friday Forest School Ages 6-11

Texts have gone out to all our Sept. 2024 Registered Studdnts. Please note that the Meet and Greet is Sept. 4th and 5th. Another message will go down with more start date info in July.
Spring has Sprung and it’s time to start gearing up for Sept.
We are so excited to welcome your child to Leap for Joy’s 2024/25 School Year.
Summer Camp registration starts April 4th so check it out on our website page.
May 7th we will offer a free Forest Fun Day to come out and meet some staff and have time in the forest. Location : Giesbrecht Rd. Turn right onto the gravel road just before the Vedder Campground. Drive down about 20 seconds to the trail head. We will have a sign out.
Time: 12:30-2:30
Now is the time to get added to our private page. (Leap for Joy Open Air Parents). Answer the question with your child’s class and we will let you in. A perfect way to watch our last 3 months of the year.
Sept. 4th and 5th is our first days. We start with a Meet and Greet with Mom or Dad (both are welcome too). A perfect day for Back to School photos.
First classes are Sept. 9th and 10th. This class is shortened by 30 min. Then on the 11th and 12th classes run as per the regular class times.
First class for Fridays is Friday the 6th. We jump right in with a full 4 hrs. Feel free to stay the first hour if you would like.
Now is a great time to check out our gear page in our Parent Policies and Procedures Manual. Please read through it to familiarize your self with our policies and philosophy.
Probably the first thing to order is a backpack. MEC, Mountain Warehouse and many other outdoor companies have children’s backpacks that are pretty waterproof and have the all important chest clip.

If you need to withdraw at any point prior to Aug. please let us know.
If anyone wants to start earlier we do have space in our afternoon classes at Rotary Trail and Browne Creek. Spring is a perfect time to introduce them to the forest.
