Today’s Bookworm was full of learning and discovery! Thanks David for another opportunity to learn through reading brought to us by Chilliwack Learning Society. It brings me joy to witness how one book after another sparked learning for KPD’s young minds.

Today’s reading experience created such a wonderful opportunity for children to learn and use new words like dinosaur, bunny, safe, really listen, listening, idea, octopus, jellyfish, seaweed, and so much more!

Children’s brains are wired differently, and there is no better way to support learning than by facilitating it in a safe, nurturing, and organic way.

Sometimes learning happens quietly in a story, a new word, a picture, a question, or a child’s spontaneous response. Every new word is a little building block toward communication, understanding, and confidence.

At Kids Place Daycare, we believe that learning doesn’t have to be forced. It can be discovered through meaningful experiences, play, curiosity, and connection such as during our bookworm reading šŸ“– program.

Who knew something as simple as a wading pool and a water gun could spark so much learning?

Through play, children are building language—naming actions, expressing excitement, communicating with friends, and making sense of the world around them. And sometimes, it’s in these simple moments where something beautiful happens—like when a child, upon seeing a spray water gun, suddenly said the word ā€œfire.ā€ That moment right there is something. That makes play meaningful.

For some children with slight developmental delays, these everyday experiences become even more powerful. Every splash, every laugh, every interaction is an opportunity to learn, explore, navigate, understand, and discover.

At Kids Place Daycare, we believe learning doesn’t always come from structured activities—it comes from play.

Never underestimate the power of play.

With the recent smoky days caused by the forest fires, outdoor play wasn’t an option—but that didn’t stop the fun at Kids Place Daycare!

We created our very own indoor jumping mattress to keep the children active, engaged, and safe. Designed with care, this cozy and cushioned space allowed the children to move their bodies, build strength, and burn off energy while staying protected from the poor air quality outside.

We even added soft bedding to make it extra inviting—turning it into a space that’s not only fun, but comforting too!

At Kids Place Daycare, we always find ways to support children’s well-being, ensuring they stay active, safe, and happy no matter the circumstances.

Where fun and learning truly happen!
