We’re thrilled to welcome our associate counsellor, Daveena, who is working toward her RCC designation here in BC. While completing her registration, she’s offering a sliding scale for new clients.
Daveena supports both adults and youth, with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). With experience in human services and law enforcement, she brings warmth, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. 💙

Stress has damaging impacts on our overall health, especially when it is ongoing. Our nervous system’s development and functioning through our life, determines how wide our window of tolerance is and plays a crucial role in our ability to manage stress. Excessive screen time is currently one of the most impactful factors on sleep disturbances for adults and children. The over-stimulation and light source keeps our brain in ‘awake’ mode and disrupts our circadian rhythm. Our devices and social media platforms are developed to give our brains the ‘rewards’ that it loves so much! Any small change in your screen time habits can make a difference over time, so here are some tips on how to begin.
