Hi CLSCS Families,

We know a few of you have reached out about yearbook ordering this year — specifically about the new Treering platform and the account sign-up required to place an order. We hear you. Nobody needs another account and another password to manage. We get it.

But we want to take a moment to explain why things look a little different this year, and to share something important about next year.

🎓 Why Treering?

What you hold in your hands (or flip through on a screen) at the end of the year is the result of an enormous amount of work by a small group of volunteers. Parents who gave up evenings and weekends to gather photos from multiple sources, cross-reference names, coordinate with staff, track photo consent, and build the book layout from scratch. Even with today's tools, it is a significant undertaking.

This year, the team made the decision to use Treering to help simplify that process, reducing the coordination burden, streamlining printing, and making the whole workflow more manageable with fewer hands. It was the right call, and it's the reason there's a yearbook at all this year.

📣 A Massive Thank You

We want to take a moment to genuinely thank the volunteers and staff who made this year's yearbook happen. The coordination alone. Photos, names, consent tracking, layout, proofing, is no small feat. This team put in real time and real effort to make sure our kids have something to look back on from this year. It means a lot.

⚠️ An Honest Note About Next Year

We want to be upfront with you: as it stands right now, there will be no yearbook for the 2026–2027 school year.

The families leading this project have children aging out of the school, and no one has yet stepped forward to carry it forward. That's not a complaint, it's just the reality of running a small school PAC with a volunteer base that's stretched thin.

If you love the yearbook and want to see it continue or if you just want to help and learn the ropes alongside someone this year , please reach out. We would love nothing more than to hand this off to someone who's excited about it.

📣 Notice to Cultus Lake Residents

Just a heads-up that MAY 7TH we are hosting the School District Cross Country Run!

🏃‍♂️ Event Details:

Start Time: 4:00 PM

Peak Activity: Expect increased traffic and pedestrian volumes starting around 3:00–3:30 PM

End Time: Approximately 5:30 PM

✅ Good news—traffic control will be in place this year to help things run smoothly!

📍 The route will go through the school field and surrounding forested areas, so please use caution if you're nearby or traveling through the area.

👏 We’d love to see the community come out to cheer on the runners!

Hello Families,

We need more support for next week's Spring Fling event. We cannot run these memorable school events with elements like games and a cake walk without parent/guardian volunteering. Consider supporting your grade 5 or 4 student to volunteer as well.

We have made the shifts very short, only 30min so you will be able to not only attend the event but support it by contributing some time as well.
