Back-to-school season can bring a mix of excitement and nerves—for both students and parents.

Here are a few ways to support your child's mental well-being as they head back to school:

🗣️ Talk about how they're feeling and encourage open conversations
⏰ Ease back into school routines with consistent bedtimes and mealtimes
🏫 Help them feel prepared by visiting the school or practicing their route
💛 Watch for signs of stress or anxiety and remind them it's okay to ask for help
🌿 Take care of your own well-being too—when you prioritize your mental health, you're better able to support your child

A little preparation, patience, and encouragement can help make the transition back to school a positive one. 🍎

A big shout out to our students who decided to give back to the community! 👏🏻
We are very proud of you! 🎉

How beautiful is this! Lilly and Bella Lynch, Aria Powell, and Daya Laforme worked a rainbow loom and lemonade stand in today's hot sun. They were selling lemonade, cookies and rainbow loom bracelets that they made themselves. They decided to donate their $60 in earnings to the FAITH Pantry. We can't thank them enough for helping to look after their community . They are certainly an inspiration to others. THANK YOU!!

Well… that’s a wrap for another year! Stay safe everyone, have fun. See you in September 💙💛

As we close out the 2025–2026 school year, I find myself filled with gratitude and reflection as I say goodbye to my home away from home for the past three years—Chesterville Public School.
From the very beginning, I was welcomed so warmly into this incredible community. It has been an absolute privilege to partner with such amazing families and students as they navigated their academic journeys. Each day brought opportunities to witness growth—not only academically, but physically, socially, and emotionally. To support students as they learn, discover who they are, and build confidence in themselves has been a true blessing.
I am also deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated staff and an engaged and supportive School Council. Your commitment to students and to one another is inspiring, and it has been an honour to be part of a team so focused on creating the best possible environment for learning and growth.
It is hard to put into words just how much I will miss the students, families, and community members I have had the privilege to work with and learn from. Each connection has meant so much to me.
While the decision to retire is one I know is right, it doesn’t make this goodbye any easier. I am reminded of the idea that it is possible to miss something deeply, while also knowing it is time to move on—and that is exactly how I feel in this moment.
Thank you for the memories, the kindness, and the shared journey. Chesterville Public School will always hold a very special place in my heart. 💙💛❤️
