Good day Chemainus Secondary families,



The recent wind storm, and subsequent power outages, caused structural damage to the heating infrastructure within our school. As the forecast tomorrow is for significantly lower than seasonal temperatures, and our school will be without heat, we have to close the school. Our Operations Department will be on site working to repair the damage and preparing the school for re-opening. I will reach out tomorrow afternoon with an update on their progress in hopes of a full return to class on Thursday.

Hey everyone - just to keep everyone in the loop. We did have the firetrucks visit us today for a malfunctioning sprinkler. Students and teachers evacuated the building and were outside in the sun until we were given the all clear to come back in. We adjusted lunch and afternoon blocks to accommodate the disruption.

Senior Girls Volleyball - Tuesday 4pm (Game vs, Cowichan) / Wednesday 3:30 - 5pm / Thursday 4pm (Game vs. Queen Margarets)

Drop in Basketball - Friday
