This little dancer has put her heart into every step she is learning! First Novice competition in North Lanark & placed 6th in the Fling, & with no mistakes & that is an accomplishment all by itself! The smile at the end says it all 💖. Well done Em, we are so proud of you for working so hard!

To finish off our year, our ballerinas took their first ever British Association of Teachers of Dancing Ballet Examinations on Tuesday night with the incredible Examiner Laurie-Ann Matthews 🧑‍🩰

A wee summer ending front lawn recital & the dancers received their British Association of Teachers of Dancing
Highland Exam certificates & medals 💖. Of course freezies & bubbles were enjoyed too!☀️🫧 & not only did we celebrate the exams & summer dancing, but we celebrated having Renayla back this summer & her accomplishments in science, Victoria’s success at Canadians & being with us in Ontario, & Leeann’s competitive & exam accomplishments, assistance in classes & sending her off to University 🥰. ALL such amazing young people 🤗

What a weekend we had a Fergus!

We started Saturday with Aubrey & Taylor in the Beginners group where they danced 3 dances (the Seann Triubhas for the first time). Taylor placed 5th in her highland fling to finish off the summer season 🌟

Both danced the Massed Fling in front of the crowd on the main field while Victoria was invited to be a part of the honour guard during opening ceremonies! 💖

During the lunch break we met up with Emily & Lindsay, both former students, & their mom’s my friends “the Lisas” 😊 for a nice visit!

In the afternoon Renayla was the “coach” for the day (taking over for Kirsten this year 😂) & we watched Victoria & Leeann compete in the Championship! After a wee break for a 😳 tornado 🌪️ warning 🤪, dancing resumed. We almost got lucky enough to get a glimpse of “Ian Fraser Murray” iykyk, but unfortunately had to go back to the dancing again 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

After 3 weeks away in the Ballet intensive at The Alberta Ballet Summer School, Victoria came to Fergus & placed 1st & 3x 4th to win the 3rd Runner Up Trophy in Premier 14 & under 16 🌟

& Leeann placed 4th, 2x 5th, & 6th to win the 4th Runner Up Trophy in Premier 18 & under 21 🌟

It was an exciting & eventful day to say the least 😁

On Sunday Leeann & Victoria met up with Abby & Deanna for a day with lots of reminiscing & laughter & hugs amongst friends 🤗. We also had a few Grannies join us for the fun, & even Scott, Amanda & Kevin came to visit with Jamie (we made them “wear a kilt” too! 🤣

In the morning Nationals Victoria placed 1st, & 2x 2nd to win the Runner Up Trophy in Premier 15 & under 17 🌟

& Leeann placed 5th x2 in Premier 17 & under 19 🌟

In the afternoon Highland Victoria placed 1st, 2nd, & 2x 4th to win the Runner Up Trophy in Premier 14 & under 16 🌟

Because she placed 1st in the Seann Triubhas she got to dance off for a special trophy! What an honour & yes I had goosebumps watching her compete with the amazing dancers up on that stage! 😊

& Leeann placed 5th in Premier 18 & under 21 to finish off her highland competitions before she heads away to school! 🌟
She has her Ballet exam on Tuesday & we are so proud of all her hard work preparing for it 🩰

What a fun weekend! My heart is full & I do have to say I love Fergus 💖

Thank you to the Highland Dancers' Association of Ontario for all the work you do all year & then finish it off with this amazing event for all the dancers! 🤗

Victoria was a part of this awesome honour guard at the Fergus Highland Games! 💖. She came all the way from Saskatchewan to compete again this year.
