🎶 We’re expanding again! 🎶
Please join us in welcoming voice teacher Kassya Kevany to the Chatham Music Academy team!
Kassya brings more than 25 years of combined musical ministry and performance experience, with a background spanning classical, gospel, and contemporary music. She is also an active performer in the Chatham-Kent community and frequently appears with the Chatham Concert Band.
In her lessons, Kassya blends technical skill with emotive storytelling while helping students build confidence, strengthen their voices, and prepare for a variety of performance settings. Her teaching focuses on essential skills—including notation, rhythm, breathing, and vocal technique—while meeting each student exactly where they are.
We’re thrilled to have Kassya joining our growing team! She will be teaching for us on Thursdays.

🎵🎉Celebrating 10 Years of Chatham Music Academy!🎉🎵
This year marks a very special milestone for us - 10 years of making music in Chatham-Kent.
What began as a dream has grown into an incredible community of students, families, teachers, and music lovers. Over the past decade, we have had the privilege of watching over 2000 students take their very first lessons, step onto the recital stage, grow in confidence, discover their talents, and carry music with them in wayes that go far beyond the studio. Over 40,000 hours of music lessons and who knows how many hours of home practice that is!
To our CMA families: thank you for trusting us with your children's musical education. Thank you for driving to lessons, encouraging practice, cheering from the audience, and believing in the value of music.
To our students: thank you for bringing your energy, creativity, courage, and joy into the Academy each week. You are the reason we do what we do.
To our teachers, past and present: Chatham Music Academy would not be what it is without you. Your passion, patience, talent, and dedication have helped shape this Academy into the place it is today. This milestone belongs to you too.
And to the Chatham-Kent Community: thank you for embracing us, supporting us, sharing our name, attending our recitals, and helping us grow over the past 10 years.
over the next month, we'll be announcing some very exciting things to help us celebrate this anniversary - and we can't wait to share them with you.
As we celebrate, we would love to hear from you. If Chatham Music Academy has been part of your story - as a student, parent, teacher, family member, or supporter - please share a favourite memory, photo or Academy moment in the comments.
And if you know someone who has been part of the Academy over the past 10 years, please tag them or share this post so they can join in the celebration too.
Here's to 10 years of music, memories, and community - and to everything still to come ❤🎹
