Rehearsal this morning for the musical has been cancelled. A rehearsal will be added on April 29.

Good morning! Reminder that if buses are cancelled all morning rehearsals and practices are cancelled as well. There will not be a musical rehearsal this morning. Pizza is also cancelled.

Buses in ALL Zones 1- 8 are CANCELLED today due to Current and Forecasted Conditions.

Correction - rehearsal is cancelled!

All St. Clair Catholic elementary and secondary schools, as well as Board facilities, will be closed today, Thursday, January 15, 2026, due to significant snowfall across the district over the past 12 hours, significant issues with visibility and ongoing weather throughout the day and poor road conditions.

Child care centres located in schools will also be closed. In addition, all after-school activities (e.g. KinderSTARt, sporting events, etc.), including Community Use events, are cancelled.

If you must travel, please do so with caution and remain safe.

We are excited to share that we were able to reschedule our field trip to Sloan’s Christmas Village! The new date for the trip is THIS Friday, December 12, 2025.

If any parents, grandparents, or guardians are available to chaperone, please contact your child’s classroom teacher as soon as possible. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps make trips like this possible.

Good morning - all busses are cancelled. The FDK field trip to Sloan's has been cancelled, as well as the grade 7/8 curling lesson. The school is open, but if you bring your child, you are reminded that you must also pick them up at 3:30 pm. Please be safe!

As we count down to the winter holidays here is the schedule for our spirit week - December 15 to 19.

Congratulations to the grade 5 students who graduated this week from the VIP program. They have spent the last several weeks learning many valuable life lessons that they will be able to take with them into their future. The students would like to thank Sp.Cst Lauren Oswald for her dedication, and the lessons she shared. As always, we appreciate the participation of the Knights of Columbus who make the t-shirts a possibility. Congratulations to Charlotte for designing the t-shirt. What a wonderful day!

Congratulations to the grade 5 students of Monsignor Uyen for successfully graduating from the V.I.P (Values, Influences and Peers) Program!👏

The students celebrated this achievement with a wonderful prayer service organized by Mme. Wieringa and after with delicious cake and refreshments with peers and parents. Sp. Cst Lauren Oswald presented the students with their V.I.P certificates and t-shirts.

Monsignor Uyen Catholic School’s very own Charlotte McDowell won the V.I.P. t-shirt design contest. Her design will be featured on all the SCCDSB and Wallaceburg schools’ grade 5 V.I.P t-shirts in the 2025-2026 school year. Congratulations Charlotte!
