Please read this entire thread. It’s so important to be well informed when you vote on Monday. I have talked to Katie Omstead about a national autism strategy. She held a townhall on the issue for residents of CK in May and I have spoken to Kate Graham who informed me that Mike Moffat is on her campaign team in policy development. This issue may have not received much media coverage during the campaign, but the liberal party is discussing it. Choose forward on Monday.

There will be a roundtable discussion on the changes to the Ontario Autism Program with Katie Omstead on June 26 from 5:30-7:30 at the TVCC office above Tru's Grille House. We would love to have some families who are affected by these changes in CK join the discussion. The point of the discussion is to gather information on how these changes to the OAP are affecting families in our community. This information will then be used to lobby for changes at the provincial and federal level. Childcare will be provided. I hope that you will be able to attend and let me know if you are planning on attending so we can get an idea of numbers. Thanks.
