Wilmene (our in country Haitian director) was able to travel to New York under the Biden Program where she is able to stay in the United States for two years. We are so relieved that she is away from Haiti right now with the current turmoil. However, she has been there for a few months but is really struggling as she hasn’t been able to find a stable job. She is the most incredible human being and she has worked with us for over ten years!!! She started out as a nanny and then became our senior staff overseeing childcare and then went on to become our in country director. She has the biggest heart, incredible drive, and is the hardest worker I know!

Do any of our friends have any connections in New York or anywhere else in the states that can give this deserving woman a shot at a secure job? We honestly cannot think of anyone who deserves it more than she does. She has overcome so much and has remained humble and with the purest heart of gold. We know if given the opportunity she will excel at anything!!! Appreciate any leads that you can provide for her 🙏

We still have a ways to go to reach our goal for shelter for our kiddos and families in Haiti! The pressure is on as we are coming towards the end of the month.

We need to raise $4300 by next Friday in order to secure a safe place and to avoid being kicked into the streets.
