AVC Diagnostic Services

Since 1986, Diagnostic Services has provided expert testing for aquaculture, pet fish, and aquatic research across Atlantic Canada. Aquatic Diagnostic Services (ADS), a division since 1996, specializes in comprehensive finfish and shellfish testing. 🐟🦞🐠🦀

Led by Dr. Dave Groman (Section Head) and Dr. Ginevra Brocca, our team offers pathology, virology, toxicology, and more. Congratulations to Dr. Groman on his Snieszko Distinguished Service Award and to Dr. Brocca on passing her American College of Veterinary Pathologists exam!

ADS has also been active in diagnosing MSX disease in oysters, partnering with the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans. 🦪
