Because Annie is heading to Halifax tomorrow for a basketball tournament, my two-week internship has officially come to an end. 🏀

I’m truly grateful to Basketball PEI for giving me this valuable opportunity to experience the Canadian workplace environment and learn many things beyond the classroom.

During the first week, we prepared different materials and equipment for the basketball tournament held in PEI. The event included 83 teams from different provinces, and I was involved in promotion, equipment organization, and various event preparations. It was a great learning experience.
In the second week, we organized storage rooms and equipment areas, sorting items by category, quantity, and size. This experience really helped me understand the importance of teamwork, organization, and attention to detail.

My teacher, Beverley, also visited my internship workplace twice for discussions and check-ins. I sincerely appreciate all of her support and encouragement throughout the experience.

I would also like to especially thank Josh for giving me Canadian coaching materials, training CDs from well-known trainers, clothing, whistles, and even treating me to meals.
These were more than just gifts — they were encouragement, trust, and motivation to continue learning and improving.

This two-week experience taught me a lot and made me even more determined to continue working hard in basketball training and coaching.
Grateful for everyone who helped and supported me along the way. 🙏🏀 PEI Beverley Lewis

Previously, I worked 9 hours as an assistant coach at the PEI Basketball Spring Break Camp, and today was officially my first day of internship work. 🏀

Today, we were preparing materials and equipment for the Premier Basketball Tournament happening this week in PEI. It’s a huge event with 142 games taking place across 12 different venues. My coworker Kalon and I worked together as a team to organize passes, tournament materials, and other event preparations.

At the same time, I also helped sort out jerseys and equipment from previous tournaments. Special thanks to Josh for giving Annie and me some gifts — it was really thoughtful and appreciated. 🙏

This was my first time truly being involved behind the scenes of a large basketball tournament, and it felt great. I learned a lot throughout the day. Being able to grow and learn in an environment connected to the sport I love is a really special experience.

At lunchtime, I even had a chance to enjoy some Chinese food — the familiar taste instantly gave me more energy.

Today’s mood felt just like the weather in PEI — bright, positive, and full of sunshine. ☀️🏀 Basketball

Yesterday and this morning, our classmates worked together to prepare lunch for students and teachers. Time flies, and before we know it, our lunch program is coming to an end.

We are truly grateful for our ELT class. It has taught us so many valuable things, and many classmates have even found jobs they truly enjoy because of it.

Life is full of uncertainties — we never know whether tomorrow or an accident will come first. So cherish the present, love the people you want to love, do the things you truly want to do, and make every day meaningful and wonderful. 🌿

Next Tuesday, we will officially begin our 9-day internship placement!

We are truly grateful to our teachers for helping us connect with jobs we are interested in and giving us the opportunity to learn and gain real experience in the Canadian workplace.

Today, we also learned how to perform well at work and better understand Canadian workplace culture and expectations.

The students in our ELT class are ready!
With excitement, passion, and confidence — here we come! 🇨🇦💼✨

May 10th is Mother’s Day. 🌷

Today, our teacher asked us to read a short story about a mother’s love. It was truly touching, and I couldn’t stop the tears from falling.

A mother’s love is the most selfless and greatest love in the world.
She gives silently, asks for nothing in return, and spends her whole life protecting her children.
No words can truly describe how great a mother’s love is. ❤️

With Mother’s Day coming soon,
make your plans and prepare a surprise for all the mothers in your life.
A hug, a meal, a blessing, or simply spending time together can make them truly happy.

Wishing all mothers around the world a joyful and beautiful Mother’s Day! 🌸

Yesterday, our teacher asked where we wanted to go—we said a farm, and today we actually visited one! Beverley always goes above and beyond to help us achieve what we want, and she even helped us find jobs. Every day is so fulfilling—not just learning English, but truly connecting with the real world. This ELT program is amazing!

Thank you to Ian Cheverie — General Manager and Director of Sales for the warm hospitality and informative tour of Blackbush Resort - Fin Folk Food.
The hotel is beautiful inside and out, very new and modern. The large glass-designed rooms offer stunning ocean views, which left a great impression on us. The restaurant was also excellent, attracting many visitors, and the overall experience was truly wonderful!

Our classmates spent two days preparing delicious food for everyone. Next month, we’ll have another opportunity to cook and share meals together. Time flies—being in the ELT class, we’ve not only learned English, but over the past year, our cooking skills have also improved a lot.
