🚌 And just like that, our one-day bus tour came to an end.

What a day it was! From the moment we stepped onto the bus in the morning, we knew we were in for something special. By the time we returned, we had filled the day with beautiful scenery, fascinating stories, new knowledge, endless laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Our first highlights took us along the beautiful coastline, where the North Rustico Lighthouse stood proudly against the sky and sea. We stopped, looked out across the water, and learned how these iconic landmarks have guided ships and become part of the Island’s story. The ocean breeze, the stunning views, and the sound of everyone’s excitement made it a perfect beginning to our adventure. 🌊🏠

Then we stepped into the magical world of Anne of Green Gables. Suddenly, the pages of a beloved story seemed to come alive around us. We discovered the history behind Anne, explored the places that inspired the famous story, and imagined the world through her eyes. And of course, we couldn’t resist having a little fun and creating our own “Anne” moments! 🍁📖

Our journey also took us deeper into the history and heritage of PEI, including the fascinating story of the Acadian people. We learned that behind every beautiful landscape is a story—and behind every community are generations of people, traditions, challenges, and dreams. These stories gave us a deeper appreciation for the Island we were exploring.

Then came the spectacular Confederation Bridge. Stretching across the water like a giant ribbon, the bridge was an impressive sight from every angle. As we crossed it, we couldn’t help but marvel at the engineering, the scale, and the breathtaking scenery surrounding us. It was one of those moments when everyone naturally reached for their cameras! 🌉📸

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any more fun, we arrived at Shop & Play—the perfect finale to our adventure! We explored the gift shop, admired all kinds of PEI souvenirs, and found charming little reminders of the Island: lighthouse night lights, sailboats, bridge souvenirs, lighthouse magnets, and adorable lobster toys. 🦞🎁

But the biggest surprise was Men of Green Gables! In an instant, our classmates transformed into “Anne of Green Gables.” Everyone looked at everyone else, and then—the whole room burst into laughter! The sight of four big, strong men dressed up as Anne was simply unforgettable. It was one of those hilarious moments that no photograph could fully capture! 😂

Looking back, this bus tour was so much more than a day of sightseeing.

Every stop was a classroom. Every story was a lesson. Every laugh became a memory.

We learned about history, culture, nature, literature, local communities, and the spirit of PEI. But most importantly, we learned the value of exploring together, learning together, helping one another, and enjoying the journey together.

As our bus finally headed home and the scenery slowly faded outside the windows, we knew that the day was coming to an end—but the memories were just beginning.

One bus. One incredible day. So many stories, so much laughter, and countless unforgettable moments.

Thank you to our wonderful teachers and every member of ELT Hospitality 2026 for making this journey so meaningful, educational, and joyful.

🦃🍎 Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

As we get ready for this special celebration, we wanted to do something meaningful for our teachers and fellow students—to bring them not only delicious food, but also a little warmth, happiness, and the spirit of Thanksgiving.

Our wonderful ELT HOSPITALITY 2026 team, guided by our amazing teacher Ms. Beverley, came together and began preparing one of the most beloved Thanksgiving treats—homemade apple pies! 🥧❤️

This was more than just baking. It was a wonderful lesson in teamwork, cooperation, patience, and hospitality.

Everyone had a role to play. With great teamwork, we witnessed the amazing journey of how simple ingredients can be transformed into something delicious.

White flour, pieces of rich butter, and little grains of sparkling white sugar came together under our hands. As we mixed, kneaded, and worked the dough, these simple ingredients magically transformed into a beautiful pie crust.

Then another group of classmates prepared the delicious apple filling. Once the sweet apples were placed inside the thin layers of pastry, suddenly—it truly started to look like an apple pie! 🍎🥧

After about 40 minutes in the oven, something magical happened.

The golden-brown apple pies came out of the oven, filling the room with an irresistible aroma. You could almost smell the warmth and sweetness of Thanksgiving from far away! 😋

At that moment, we realized that the most delicious ingredient was not flour, butter, sugar, or apples.

It was the love, teamwork, and effort that everyone put into making them.

We are already counting down the days until Thanksgiving, when we can share these homemade apple pies with our teachers and classmates.

A delicious pie brings people together, but sharing it with love makes the moment truly special. ❤️

Friday’s session was incredibly practical and meaningful. We learned many valuable knowledge points and useful skills that can help newcomers better understand their current situation, adjust their mindset, and navigate the challenges of settling into a new country.

Today’s topic was “Culture Shock & Stress Management.”

A special thank you to Mrs. Aynur Darian, a Family Counsellor from IRSA, for bringing us such an engaging and meaningful session.

Mrs. Darian combined her own personal experiences with her professional knowledge and years of experience to give us a truly insightful lesson. Everyone gained so much from it.

One of the most valuable things we learned was that when we arrive in a completely unfamiliar environment, feelings such as anxiety, insecurity, loneliness, low energy, excessive sleepiness, and fatigue may not simply mean that something is wrong with us. They can sometimes be natural responses to culture shock and the stress of adapting to a new culture and way of life.

Understanding this can make a big difference. Instead of feeling confused or blaming ourselves, we can learn to recognize these emotions, understand where they come from, manage our stress, and gradually adapt to our new environment.

For newcomers, the journey is not always easy. But with the right knowledge, a positive mindset, and support from the community, we can face the challenges with greater confidence.

Understand yourself. Manage your stress. Embrace the new culture. Keep moving forward.

What we learned today is something we can carry with us far beyond the classroom. ❤️

Yesterday was the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.

Today, guided by our teacher, we visited Eastlink to experience Mi’kmaq Indigenous culture firsthand. We watched their wonderful traditional performances and had the opportunity to see, with our own eyes and hearts, the culture and wisdom that have been passed down through generations on this land.

Reconciliation is perhaps more than simply remembering history. It is also about learning to listen, to understand, and to respect. It is not only about looking back at the past, but also about creating opportunities today for different cultures to see, understand, and appreciate one another.

Today, we witnessed Mi’kmaq artists using their skillful hands to transform traditional knowledge and cultural heritage into beautiful works of art.

They painted on wood, carved stone, created artwork on feathers, wove natural grasses into beautiful crafts, and used fur and hides to create a variety of unique bags and other traditional items.

Every piece amazed us.

These are not simply beautiful handicrafts. They carry a deep connection to nature and the land, as well as stories, traditions, and cultural memories passed down from one generation to the next.

When we see these traditional skills with our own eyes, hear their stories, and have the opportunity to connect with the culture directly, “reconciliation” becomes more than an abstract idea from a textbook. It becomes a real and meaningful experience.

As people who have come to PEI to learn and live, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to understand more deeply the history of this land, while also learning to respect and appreciate the cultures that have been here for generations.

Yesterday, we remembered reconciliation.
Today, we experienced it through learning and connection.

Perhaps true reconciliation begins with listening, with understanding, and with respecting each other’s cultures, histories, and stories.

Thank you to our teacher for bringing us into such a meaningful cultural experience today. We came not only to witness incredible performances and beautiful traditional craftsmanship, but also to understand something deeper:

Culture can truly connect people when it is listened to, understood, respected, and carried forward.

Today was a truly meaningful and unforgettable day.

The entire ELT HOSPITALITY 2026 family—students and teachers together—came together to participate in and witness the spirit of Terry Fox.

Terry Fox left us with much more than a story. Through his courage, determination, kindness, and unwavering hope, he planted a seed in the heart of every person who heard his story. That seed continues to grow, inspiring people to believe in hope, to care for others, and to keep moving forward even when the journey is difficult.

Today, as we ran together, we were not simply taking part in an event. We were carrying forward a spirit that has touched generations of Canadians and people around the world.

As members of ELT HOSPITALITY 2026, we feel truly honored to be part of this meaningful moment. May the spirit of Terry Fox continue to inspire each of us—not only today, but in the way we live, care, help, and bring kindness to the people around us.

His journey may have ended, but the hope he planted continues to grow.

And perhaps this is the most beautiful meaning of carrying on his legacy: one small act of kindness, one step forward, and one person inspiring another.

Today has been another full and meaningful day with our amazing ELT Hospitality 2026 team.

Look at every one of our wonderful team members—full of energy, wearing bright smiles, and working together with enthusiasm and care. We are here not only to provide the best possible service to our classmates and teachers, but also to prepare delicious, healthy food for everyone to enjoy.

What makes this team truly special is not just what we accomplish, but the positive energy, kindness, teamwork, and joy that we share along the way.

We are ELT Hospitality 2026—a great team, a warm family, and a group of people who make every day better together! ❤️

Today, With the wonderful guidance of Ms. Beverley, our entire class came together to prepare lunch for the students and staff of our school this Tuesday.

Everyone had a role to play. We worked together, supported one another, and made the most of our individual strengths. In that moment, the true power of teamwork came to life.

For those of us who don’t usually bake—especially the men in our class—it was also a fantastic hands-on lesson! We learned new skills, gained valuable experience, and discovered that baking can be both challenging and a lot of fun. 😊

When everyone works together with a common goal, even the smallest contribution becomes meaningful. That is the spirit of our ELT Hospitality family.

What a wonderful day—it went by in the blink of an eye. I’m already looking forward to tomorrow and whatever exciting experiences await us next! 🌟
