Home Founded in April 1995, the PEIRMTA is provincial organization that provides leadership in music education across the province.

I'm taking a hiatus from new students until September. Thanks to everyone who has reached out recently, and if you're still looking in September be sure to get in touch!

We're back to in studio lessons today, but not without casualties! I got a little bit of Clorox Clean-up on my new shorts!

I'd like to thank the PEI Registered Music Teachers Association for their help in making this happen, by coordinating with Health PEI to provide an operational protocol's template.

Check your inboxes! Getting ready to start up within the next seven days. Using the template made by the PEI Registered Music Teachers Association operational guidelines, made in consultation with Health PEI, we will make your lessons as safe as possible!

I'm privileged to share an amazing studio with other teachers. Because of Health PEI guidelines requiring 13ft of distance between singers I will be teaching only one day a week for the time being, as I will need to use the lobby of the office for my lessons.

For students not ready to take the risk of an in person lesson I will be teaching online as well.

Here are a preview of the precautions being taken at the Studio, as well as a COVID-19 declaration that I'll need any in person students to sign.

A heads up! Simard Voice Studio is preparing to resume in-person lessons. We are fortunate that the office set up will help mitigate many of the concerning factors related to singing and the spread of COVID-19.

Studio protocols and guidelines will be made available shortly, both here, and to your personal e-mails. If I don't have your e-mail, please send me a message or a text so that I can send them to you.

I will continue to offer online lessons for those who would prefer to maintain distance education at this time.

Following guidelines issued by Health PEI, the studio is closed until further notice.

I am investigating setting up distance lessons via the Zoom app, but as you all know, this will be almost impossible with an expected new born arriving this week.
