Our OTA/PTA program prepares students to become skilled rehabilitation professionals who help people regain independence, improve mobility, and participate in the activities that matter most. Whether working in hospitals, long-term care, community settings, or private practice, OTAs and PTAs make a meaningful difference every day.

Like many people, Catherine Rose once thought the only healthcare paths were becoming a doctor or a nurse. Rose, a program officer, is helping Island students discover over 50 health care career options they can take right here on PEI.

By visiting high schools across PEI, she introduces students to a wide range of careers in both public and private healthcare, from front-line roles to the many behind-the-scenes positions that keep the system running. Each career profile includes an overview of the role, salary ranges, education requirements, and where to study.

Since April, she’s reached more than 400 students across grades 9 to 11, and continues to offer to connect interested students with professionals in fields they want to explore.
