Last week, we had Senior Travel Advisor and Manager, Frances, from Stewart Travel come in and talk about her client portfolio and day to day operations as a travel entrepreneur.

This was an opportunity for our students to learn about the travel services sector as they begin to prepare for their course practicum work in our student travel centre.

Last semester, our students met with the team from and to learn about the Halifax port operations and how Ambassatours run their tour operations to accommodate the thousands of passengers that come through every year.

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to get to speak to the second year students in the Holland College Tourism and Travel Management program.

They asked GREAT questions and we had an awesome conversation ranging from how a travel agent earns revenue to a "day-in-the-life" to the use of technology to taking care of yourself while helping and giving to your clients.

These students are in the travel theme and part of this course is working at the college's travel office during their training.

I feel totally energized and excited to continue working with them on a project this semester!
