Congratulations Denver!

Denver will forever be known for having the best excuse for being late to class - he choked on a chip while having lunch with his sister. This might be why one classmate wrote about Denver - “he will have really good stories to tell his grandchildren.” When Denver wasn’t in class, you would for sure find him in one of two places - working on his remote control tank, or working on a roof somewhere. His favourite high school memory is the grade 12 grad trip to Portugal, and he was voted most likely to create a nuclear warhead defence system that could eventually destroy the earth.

In September, you will find Denver where he is the happiest - on a roof, continuing to work and learn this trade.

Congratulations, Denver!

Congratulations Erik!

Erik will forever be known throughout the ICS high school for his friendly attitude towards all students, for consuming, at times, an alarming amount of Pepsi, for his deep love of both farming and dirt-biking, and this year, for becoming one half of a twin duo with Abel. His classmates have declared him most likely to continue drinking Pepsi, farming, and dirt-biking after high school, as well as possibly buying a buffalo farm.

Erik is the recipient of the PEI Potatoes Future Leaders Bursary from the PEI Potato Board.

In September, Erik plans to attend Dordt University in Sioux City, Iowa, where he will study Farm Management.

Congratulations, Erik!

Congratulations Jack!

If someone mentions Jack’s name in conversation, it is very common that someone will say, “Jack is just such a nice guy.” Jack’s nice guy personality, his willingness to help out, and his friendly smile will remain as part of his legacy at ICS, as well as his love of farming and dirt-biking. In fact, several students wrote that, in the future, Jack and Erik would likely be found as the Co Potato Lords of PEI. Jack is known for being helpful around the high school and keeping to his word.

In September, Jack plans to attend Dordt University in Sioux City, Iowa, for Business Studies.

Congratulations, Jack!

Congratulations Maya!

Maya will be remembered in the ICS high school for being a good and caring listener to her friends. She has listed English class conversations as her favourite high school memory. Maya was a well-loved co-op student in the Grade 6 class last year, as those students still remember fondly her time volunteering in their classroom.

In September, Maya plans to attend Crandall University in Moncton, New Brunswick, for Education.

Congratulations, Maya!

Congratulations Anna!

Anna is rarely seen around the ICS high school without a coffee or some type of caffeinated beverage in her hand. In fact, she often also has one for someone else, a small way that she demonstrates her care and friendly disposition towards her friends. Anna’s favourite memories of high school at ICS include winning the volleyball championship, trying new sports, and the Grade 12 grad trip to Portugal. When asked about her time here, Anna wrote, “Throughout high school, I became confident in who I am. This confidence has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and learn new things.”

Anna is the recipient of the University of Prince Edward Island Entrance Scholarship, the George Coles Bursary, and the Evelyn N. Cudmore Memorial Scholarship - an award that goes to a student who will be studying sciences at UPEI who also has a background in swim instruction, camp counselling and outdoor education.

In September, Anna plans to attend the University of Prince Edward Island to study Kinesiology.

Congratulations, Anna!
