The Toronto Patriots assistant captain helped lead his team to an OJHL championship, led all defencemen with 44 assists and was named a First Team All-Star.

🕊️ Remembering Dennis Clough

The UPEI community is saddened by the passing of Dennis Clough, a longtime supporter of UPEI Athletics and a dedicated friend of the men’s hockey program.

A member of the Saint Dunstan’s University Class of 1961, Dennis later returned to serve UPEI in senior financial leadership roles, including as Comptroller and Chief Financial Officer. In recognition of his enduring contributions, he was named a UPEI Founder during the 2007 Founder's Day Ceremony.

A longtime member of the Panther Hockey Booster Club and men’s hockey season ticket holder, Dennis was recognized as a Builder in 2010 for his unwavering support of men’s hockey, with a banner raised in his honour at the Bell Aliant Centre.

He also established the Dennis Clough Men’s Hockey Scholarship in 2008, supporting student-athletes who demonstrate the character, leadership, and dedication he valued so deeply.

Our thoughts are with Dennis’ family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

RECRUITED👟 | Track & Field Panthers welcome promising jumper WILL DUNN

A native of Charlottetown, PE, Dunn joins the Panthers from Charlottetown Rural High School following a strong showing at the 2026 PEISAA Provincial Championships, where he captured silver in both the long jump (6.15m) and triple jump (11.19m).

Still relatively new to the sport, Dunn has already shown plenty of potential across the jumping events. With a strong work ethic, tremendous attitude, and plenty of room to develop, he projects as an athlete capable of contributing points at the AUS level.

RECRUITED🏒 | The Panthers have added a big, skilled presence up front in SEBASTIAN BRADSHAW.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound winger was selected by the Dallas Stars in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and spent the past three seasons in the BCHL.

RECRUITED🏒 | The Panthers have landed one of junior hockey’s top defencemen in SIMON MULLEN.

The former Summerside Western Capitals captain was named the MHL and CJHL’s top defenceman after a 68-point season and helped lead the Capitals to silver at the 2026 Centennial Cup.

RECRUITED⚽ | Men’s Soccer Panthers welcome hometown defender MERLIN DEVINE

A Charlottetown, PE native, Devine returns home after spending the past two seasons with the Cape Breton Capers. After working his way back from a year-long meniscus injury, the 20-year-old is eager to begin his next chapter with the Panthers.

"We're pleased to add Merlin to our program. He's a technical centre back with a strong understanding of the game, and we believe he'll be a great addition to our group and the environment we're continuing to build." – Head Coach Mozzi Gyorio
