On October 24, from 9:00–11:00 a.m., the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Centre will open its doors to the community. Tour the facility, see clinical simulation demonstrations, explore teaching and learning spaces, and meet members of the Faculty of Medicine team.

Meet Dr. Melanie Johnston, an emergency medicine physician at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and our Physician Lead, Pre-Clerkship (foundational classroom learning).

A UPEI graduate herself, Dr. Johnston has come full circle, now helping shape the learning experience for the next generation of medical students.

Alongside her work in emergency medicine, she serves as Lead for Classroom Experiences at Memorial University’s PEI campus and supports the development of UPEI's future medical doctor program by planning pre-clerkship medical education.
