Learning sign language has many benefits! It not only makes it easier for you to be inclusive of different abilities in your home or work life, but also improves your ability to to process information visually, kinesthetically, and emotionally. There are free apps that can teach you American Sign Language in short daily segments. While most people in PEI use ASL, Maritime Sign Language is still used in some circles.

A learning disability diagnosis does not mean you will never have success. There are many successful people with LD’s. You can also be successful with a later-in-life diagnosis: while Kiera Knightly was diagnosed with dyslexia at age 6, Whoopi Goldberg wasn’t diagnosed with dyslexia until she was an adult!

To do a shoulder roll, lift your shoulders and slowly press shoulder blades together, before relaxing your shoulders back to their regular place. Depending on your mobility, it can be an easy stretch to do at your desk, while you’re waiting for an appointment or sitting watching TV!

Invisible disabilities (including learning disabilities) can be difficult for those who live with them. People’s inability to believe in disabilities that can’t be easily seen can cause added stress in the lives of those struggling with them.

Who struggles with E.F.? While we most often hear about it in regard to ADHD, there are a variety of reasons why people struggle with executive functioning. It's important to note that struggling with E.F. does not make you a bad person, or mean you are less than other people.
