Congratulations to all Students on their beautiful and heartfelt performances over the last 3 days of the PEI Kiwanis Music Festival Provincials! Last night's Awards Presentation Ceremony was a fantastic tribute to the hard work and dedication of these music students. In addition, a sincere recognition of all those behind the scenes, including Administrator Claire Arthur and her team of Directors and Volunteers, Teachers, Parents, Donors, and the community at large. Many students will represent PEI in the 3 levels of Nationals in July. We should be very proud of all students who have chosen to devote countless hours to their musical studies. It will benefit their lives in countless ways for many years!

The PEI Kiwanis Music Festival (Provincial Music Festival) is happening this Thursday May 28, Friday May 29 and Saturday May 30. The outline of disciplines is currently available at https://www.peikmfa.ca/provincial-2026/ and you can keep checking back on their website to see the full program listing the performers names and repertoire. I highly recommend you take some time to go and listen to these talented music students who range in ages/levels from Junior right up to Advanced, who represent 4 local PEI music festivals (East Prince, West Prince, PEI Queens County Music Festival, and Kings County). It is so inspiring to see these young individuals perform their personal best as they also compete for prizes and awards. As a piano accompanist, I will also be playing a total of 20 songs for singers representing Queens and Kings County Music Festivals in the Classical Voice and Musical Theatre categories from the singing studios of Carolyn Thompson and Suzanne Campbell.
