Pretty exciting today for the Project SEARCH PEI team! Looking forward to listening to the story when it airs later this Fall!

What an exciting day for Project SEARCH PEI!

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Brian Goldman to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to spend some time with our Project SEARCH interns and learn more about the program.

Dr. Goldman met with Terry Campbell, Administrator of the QEH, and spoke with Loane, one of our past Project SEARCH interns who has now transitioned into employment at the QEH. It was especially meaningful to have Loane share his experience and demonstrate what can happen when young people are given the opportunity, support and confidence to succeed in the workplace.

Our current interns also did an incredible job. They talked about their experiences, and what they have been learning. They were professional, enthusiastic and, most importantly, they were themselves. It was wonderful to watch them step up and proudly talk about the work they are doing in Project SEARCH.

A huge thank you to Dr. Goldman and CBC for taking the time to meet with our interns, staff and graduates and for helping tell the story of Project SEARCH PEI and the opportunities it creates for young adults with disabilities.

We can't wait to hear the finished segment when it airs later this fall on White Coat Black Art.

Today was another reminder of just how much these young people have to offer. We couldn't be prouder of them!

Tremploy is deeply grateful to Kevin and Kim Ladner for their extraordinary $100,000 contribution to our Capital Campaign, made in memory of Kevin’s first cousin, John Yeo, who passed away in 2012.

In recognition of this generous gift and John’s memory, Tremploy is proud to name our outdoor gathering space the John Yeo Terrace. John had been involved with Tremploy for many years and made a positive impact on those around him, including amongst staff and clients in our organization.

Congratulations to our 2026 Graduates of Project SEARCH PEI. A great celebration today as interns receive their certificates and celebrate with family and friends their incredible journey. Thank you to the incredible folks at Health PEI, Skills PEI, Tremploy, and the amazing team of Health professionals at the QEH who have been supporting our interns for the past 5 years through Project SEARCH PEI.

What a fun weekend! Thank you to Canadian National Pickleball League and Atlantic Pickleball Club for giving us an opportunity to participate in the first ever professional pickleball tournament on PEI! From the organizers, to the players and fans, thank you for all you did to include us in the event. I think we may have some new pickleball players/fans!

Thank you to Jarrod, Michaela, Audrey, Nathan, Jerred and Blake for representing us well and to our staff (Courtney, Mike, Jeff, Aisha and Sheila), thank you for the work you did behind the scenes to ensure things ran smoothly.

Islanders living with disabilities, along with their families and caregivers, will see improvements to supports following the review of the AccessAbility Supports (AAS) Program and the Residential Services Program.

Minister of Health and Wellness Cory Deagle recognized Project SEARCH PEI in the legislature this week.

Project SEARCH PEI is a workforce training program based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital that that helps young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism, gain the skills, confidence, and work experience needed to move into long-term career success. This program is supported through Skills PEI, Tremploy Inc, Health PEI, and QEH staff.

Auction UPDATE: We exceeded our goal and raised over $36,250 (including cash donations) to put toward the purchase of a new van (auction total was $33,700)! Thank you so much for your support!
