With her head resting comfortably on a pillow, Tatu is enjoying some well-deserved quiet time in one of her favorite spots—a big, cozy bed made of soft blankets. 🛏️💚

Who says onion soup is only for cold winter days? 🧅☀️

Even in the middle of summer, Tatu happily enjoys a delicious bowl of onion soup. Just like us, chimpanzees have their own unique preferences, and some favorites never go out of season.

Did you know chimpanzees communicate with more than just vocalizations? 🐵

Head nodding and the playful “Bronx cheer” (blowing a raspberry) are two behaviors they use to communicate. Depending on the context, these gestures can help get someone’s attention, invite interaction, or express excitement. Their rich communication reminds us just how intelligent and expressive chimpanzees are! 💚

ITS WORLD CHIMPANZEE DAY 💙💙💙

Today we celebrate our closest living relatives.

Chimpanzees laugh.
They love.
They learn.
They grieve.
They hope.

They enrich our forests, strengthen biodiversity, and remind us of the deep connections we share with the natural world.

Today, we celebrate chimpanzees!

And every day we commit to protecting them.

Because family is worth protecting.

World Chimpanzee Day is celebrated every July 14. It commemorates the arrival of primatologist Jane Goodall at Gombe National Park in Tanzania in 1960, where her groundbreaking observations transformed our understanding of chimpanzees.

We invite you to celebrate these extraordinary beings by learning more about their lives, raising awareness among your family and friends, and supporting the organizations dedicated to their protection.

Together, we can help build a future where all chimpanzees are treated with the respect and compassion they deserve. ❤️
