Did you know that Bach was imprisoned for one month by Prince Wilhelm Ernst of Weimar for not asking permission to quit his job? Bach's resignation was refused by the Prince who then imprisoned Bach in the hopes of the latter begging to be released to his position.
However, weeks passed, and the Prince was finally forced into firing Bach, then releasing him.
Bach wrote his Well Tempered Clavier while imprisoned!👍💥🎶🎹
