Music has always been a fundamental part of my life, from growing up in a home filled with the sounds of piano and cello to graduating from the Etobicoke School of the Arts. Having been immersed in the transformative power of music under the guidance of my late mother, Virginia Taylor, an exceptional piano teacher for 53 years, I am honoured to continue her legacy. I learned to teach piano under my mother’s mentorship, observing firsthand the joy and progress students experienced as they worked through their lessons and grades. Under my mother's expert guidance, I not only acquired technical skills but also developed a deep appreciation for the art of music. With my involvement in the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association and Davenport Music Festival, I gained further appreciation for teaching music and what makes a great piano teacher. I consider it a privilege to continue building on my mother's incredible legacy. Teaching piano is an extraordinary honour that allows me to foster personal growth in young minds. I wholeheartedly believe that the journey of learning an instrument should be filled with fun, joy, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. I provide just that for my students. I offer both virtual and in-person piano lessons to provide flexibility and accommodate individual preferences and schedules. My lessons are available for students ranging from Preparatory to Level 5. I look forward to embarking on this musical journey with you or your child!
