Tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day.

Tomorrow, September 30, we encourage all staff, students, and families across Prairie South to wear orange in honour of Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never made it home. Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a reminder of the lasting impacts of residential schools and our commitment to reconciliation, respect, and understanding. By wearing orange, we show that Every Child Matters – past, present, and future.

Our Math Foundations 20 class is busy learning about angle properties and parallel lines. Students developed an understanding of the topic by using their body - brain connection!

They played Just Dance using two parallel lines and a transversal to demonstrate alternate interior angles, corresponding angles, vertically opposite angles, alternate exterior, and supplementary angles.

We had a lot of fun!

Our Grade 5/6 students helped organize a coin drive in support of the Terry Fox Foundation.

On Wednesday, our high school students partnered with our elementary students for our Terry Fox Walk. It is fun to watch the connections grow between our “big” and “little” students.

Thank you to all of our students, staff, and families for helping make this event a success!
