Today! Northumberland Hills Public School is hosting a meet and greet for new students today September 3rd from 2-3pm.

Parents will be able to look up their students teacher today after 12pm on Edsby. If you have questions or need assistance, you can contact the office.

🏫 First Day of School

Elementary students start school on Tuesday, September 8. Kindergarten students will receive a personalized first week schedule from their school by mail.

👩‍🏫 Class and Teacher Look-Up

On Thursday, September 3 after 12:00 p.m., elementary and secondary families will be able to see class and teacher information on Edsby. Families who are already logged into Edsby before noon may need to log out and log back in to access the updated information.

📞 School Office Hours

School offices are open September 2-3 this week, are closed September 4, and will re-open September 8 for the first day of school.

🚌 Busing

Preliminary transportation information for September is now available for eligible students who opted in for transportation.

Visit www.stsco.ca and log in to the Parent Portal to view your child's tentative transportation details. Check back before the first day of school as transportation details may change.

Every Tuesday throughout the school year, we will be sharing well-being tips, resources, and supports for students and families. Think of Take Care Tuesday as a "take what you need" space. Some weeks, you may discover a new tool or strategy. Other weeks, you may simply find a reminder to pause, reflect, and care for yourself and those around you.

Hello NHPS Families! 👋

Here is some information to help prepare for students’ return to NHPS.

🏫 Office Staff Returning

Our office staff have returned as of Wednesday August 26, 2026.

👩‍🏫 Class & Teacher Information

We know students are excited—and perhaps a little anxious—to find out who their teacher will be this year! Classrooms and teaching assignments are still being finalized, so class information will be shared with families closer to the end of next week. Keep an eye out in your email inbox.

🎒 Welcome to Our New JK/ First year Students!

For our JK/ First year students joining NHPS this year, you will be receiving a letter in the mail shortly with information about your visit day, which will be either September 9th or 10th. The first full day for first year students will be Friday, September 11th.

Second year/ SK students will start school on Tuesday September 8th.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back and starting another wonderful school year! ❤️

We’re excited to announce that our new outdoor classroom is officially ready! 🎉

A huge thank you to our School Council for their vision and support, and to Fidelity Landscape and Precision Core Contracting for their hard work and expertise in bringing this project to life.

This beautiful space will give our students and staff a wonderful place to learn, explore, collaborate, and connect with nature for years to come. 💚

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this project possible!

🚌 New to the school bus?
Join STSCO's free First Rider Program this August! Children and families can learn about bus safety and enjoy a short ride to help build confidence for the new school year.
30 minutes sessions will run between 3:00 - 6:00pm at locations in Northumberland, Clarington and Peterborough.
A large school bus and wheelchair accessible school bus will be on site.
