A new study found that learning music strengthens memory, focus, problem-solving, and language skills by activating both sides of the brain at once. Unlike coding, which mainly builds logic, music also lights up creativity, emotion, and collaboration giving students a fuller mental workout. 🎶

Experts say starting with music doesn’t just boost intelligence it can actually make learning to code easier later on.

So maybe the best way to raise future innovators… is to hand them an instrument first. 🎹🎻

The Castlegar Community Children's Choir is now OPEN for Fall 2025 Registration!!

Do you have a child who loves to sing and perform? Are you looking to help your child learn musical skills, teamwork, communication skills and self confidence? Consider the Castlegar Community Children's Choirs for a Fall 2025 program!

➡️ Program starts Wed Sept 17 and runs weekly until Nov 19.
➡️ Cost is $75 per student
➡️ Location: Castlegar United Church, 80 Merrycreek Road
