On-Site Interviewer

MQO Research is seeking self-motivated, outgoing individuals to join our team of interviewers at the Goose Bay Airport. As an On-Site Interviewer your primary role would be collecting data by way of brief interviews with visitors at the airport. The ideal candidate is an exceptional team player who works equally as well independently and has no quams striking up a conversation.

Responsibilities:
• Intercepting passengers at the Goose Bay Airport requesting them to participate in a brief survey
• Recording and input of responses through the use of a handheld device
• Checking information for completeness and accuracy
• Counting and recording visitor traffic
• Carrying out tasks in a professional manner

Qualifications:
• Completion of High School
• Record of Conduct
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Customer Service and/or Surveying experience would be an asset
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Extremely flexible schedule – shifts are based on flight departure times

This is a part time (20-30 hours per week) temporary position running from May 1st – October 31st. Shift-work is required including some early morning and weekend shifts. The wage for this position will be between $17 per hour, based on duties and experience.

I hope our NunatuKavut members can get out and vote tomorrow in Cartwright and Black Tickle/ Domino. I am looking for the support of our communities to be able to represent you within our Council. I will be there for you and I will make sure that you get the representation that you all deserve, Nakummek.

I have put alot of thought into what I want to do for our communities and how I can help our communities within the NunatuKavut Community Council. We need a voice and someone who is going to show up and represent our communities and put forward not only our issues and concerns but also positive input from our communities, I promise you I will do that.

We are at a very important point in our history, with the recent Supreme Court Decision and the implications that it can have on our communities with education, health care & housing, plus our Land Claims and hopefully self goverance. We need this now for our communities as the shortfalls from the recent NL Budget are starting to be realized.

I will be a voice for our communities.

Early voting for your NunatuKavut Council Member is tomorrow, Tuesday April 19 at the ERDA Building in Cartwright and the Community Hall in Black Tickle, 10:00 am - 8:00pm, please let me know if you have any questions.
