Yesterday we sent Mrs. Pawluk off to her well-deserved retirement by honouring her at our last assembly of the year. Each class wrote their wishes for her on a star and presented it to her. Students rehearsed songs and actions to show their appreciation for the many ways that she has made lasting connections with them over the many years she has been at CES.

Mrs. Pawluk has been an integral part of the success of so many students in Carstairs. Her wisdom and leadership has left a lasting mark on all of us and her legacy will continue for many years to come. Thank you, Mrs. Pawluk for your dedication and leadership. All of us at CES wish you nothing but the best in your well-deserved retirement! We will miss you!

We want to wish Mr. Haugan well as he leaves CES to teach Grade 2 in Sundre at River Valley School next year! Thank you for the memories and all the fun in 1C this year! We will miss you at CES next year and wish you all the best!

Tomorrow is the last day of school !! Friday June 26th !

Grade 2s were blessed with homemade lady bug boxes again this year to wrap up their Living Systems unit.

This fall the students will put them in piles of leaves to provide a wintering habitat for ladybugs.

Thank you to Kelly Weatherall for making 90 boxes for us again!

We love our community.

Jacob and Ben finished the year with 66 super hero math sheets and 6 murals each.

The most 2B has ever seen.

They worked through addition then subtraction and then learned multiplication and division.

Each page has about 350 math questions and the answer colour makes a super hero picture. Way to go boys!
