WINAMAC, INDIANA… WE MADE IT!

After a heck of a travel day yesterday 😂, we’ve officially arrived at OK Miller Farms and are getting ready for our In-Person Three-Day Facilitator Training!

And let us tell you… we are SO excited to be here.

Over the next three days, it’s all about bringing the learning to life. Working alongside the horses, building confidence, learning their language, stepping into leadership, and putting everything into practice in a way you simply can’t experience through a screen.

There will be learning.

There will definitely be laughter.

There will probably be a few BIG lightbulb moments.

And, as always, the horses will have plenty of lessons of their own to teach us. 🐴

Let’s be honest, this career isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

Some mornings you’re out in the cold before sunrise. You’re not just a facilitator, you’re the bookkeeper, the marketer, and the barn hand too. Building a business from scratch takes grit, and some days your horse just isn’t feeling like showing up to work (fair, honestly).

But then a client has a breakthrough you helped create. You get to spend your days with your horses instead of just squeezing in a visit on weekends. You build something that’s actually yours, on your terms, in an industry that needs more people who put the horse first.

It’s not always easy. But it’s real, and it’s rewarding in a way a desk job never was.

That’s what makes Equine Assisted Learning a career, not just a job. 🐴💛

Woodstock, you were SO good to us! 🐴

What an incredible few days of learning, laughing, stepping outside comfort zones and, of course, letting the horses do what they do best… teach us.

During our In-Person Three-Day Training & Levelled-Up Training, there were so many moments where the learning went far beyond simply completing an exercise.

For some, it was learning not to pull on the horse, but to slow down, understand their language and truly listen to what they were communicating.

For others, it was noticing when their horse stopped and looked at something, and learning to stop and look too. A simple way of saying, “I see it. I hear you. We’re in this together.”

Some discovered what happens when they slow down and stop trying to do everything themselves.

And others were challenged to step into their own leadership and confidently move forward.

Different horses. Different people. Different lessons. 🧡

And that’s the beautiful thing about this work.

Taking that learning, awareness and connection with the horses even deeper.

So many beautiful moments. So many BIG lightbulbs. So many incredible connections.

We’re so grateful to everyone who came out, leaned into the learning and was part of these special few days with us.

We had an incredible time at our Woodstock, Ontario Open House hosted at Partners for Success!

It was amazing to meet so many people who were curious about Equine Assisted Learning and wanted to learn more about what we do. Throughout the evening, we explored what Equine Assisted Learning really is, how our certification honours both the horse and the human, and shared a deeper understanding of horse behaviour and why horses are such incredible teachers.

One of the highlights was our in-depth Q&A session. We covered everything from insurance and tax write-offs to how working with horses can become a viable business, what you need to get started, and answered so many thoughtful questions from everyone who attended.

And of course, no great event is complete without great coffee! A huge thank you to Beans and Brews for keeping everyone caffeinated with some absolutely amazing coffee throughout the evening.

Most of all, we had a lot of fun! There were so many great conversations, plenty of laughs, and countless lightbulb moments as everyone walked away with a whole new appreciation for horses, Equine Assisted Learning, and the beautiful partnership we have with these incredible animals.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to Partners for Success for hosting such a wonderful event. We loved every minute of it and can't wait to be back!
